- Tuition2025-26
$32,634–$48,522 full-time · resident to non-resident
$25,361–$37,278 part-time
Tuition and the fees the school certifies alongside it — not a full cost of attendance.

- Bar passageclass of 2025
95.3%first-time+12.9
82.3% is the average for all ABA-accredited schools’ graduates in the same jurisdictions this school’s graduates sat in · 121 of 127 first-time takers passed
99.4% of the class of 2023 were admitted within two years of graduating
A pass rate on its own says as much about which states a school feeds as about the school, so the ABA’s own like-for-like average is shown with it.

4.0% of the first-year class · 5 students
No law school publishes a graduation rate, so this is not one. It is the students who left in their first year, academic and other, as filed. Transfers out are reported separately and are not counted here.

Not a starting salary.
$75,674 median one year after finishing · $105,673 after four
$107,773 is the national median at four years for the same credential
A College Scorecard median for 2017-18 and 2018-19 completers who received federal aid, measured a fixed number of years after they finished — not what this year’s graduates are being paid, and not a figure the school or the ABA publishes. The ABA collects no salary data at all.

Essays
- Personal statementRequired · 2 pgstart by Oct 25, 2026
While there is no specific prompt or evaluation rubric, many applicants choose to illustrate life experiences, unique talents, and any significant obstacles or events in life that influenced their outlook and motivated them to pursue a law degree. This statement also gives the committee an opportunity to evaluate your writing ability.
Notes & source
The JD admissions page (the prompt's source) does not state a length limit; the two-page limit comes from the university's 2026-2027 graduate catalog (catalog.tamu.edu/graduate/admission/college-school--information/law/): 'Personal statement not to exceed two double-spaced pages.'

- AddendumOptionalstart by Nov 12, 2026
Notes & source
The upload step says: 'There are a variety of additional documents you may be asked to provide in the application instructions, such as character and fitness addendum, or others as necessary or required.' The university's 2026-2027 graduate catalog likewise lists 'Supporting addenda (including Character and Fitness Disclosure requirements)' among JD application items. Recorded as not universally required because addenda apply 'as necessary or required'; a character-and-fitness addendum is required when the applicant has something to disclose.

Called a 'Descriptive résumé': 'Include details about your education, work history, awards, honors, and certificates, extracurricular activities, military service, community service/volunteerism, foreign language proficiencies, and any other significant achievements or involvement.' No page limit is published.

From the university's 2026-2027 graduate catalog, which lists what must be in the CAS report before it is released to Texas A&M Law: 'At least two letters of recommendation (LORs). No more than 3 LORs can be included in a CAS report for Texas A&M Law.' Letters are submitted directly to LSAC through CAS. The law school's own JD admissions page mentions uploading letters of recommendation through CAS but is silent on counts and on who recommenders should be.

Notes & source
Register with LSAC's Credential Assembly Service, which 'provides access to the application and allows you to upload all required documents, including your letters of recommendation and official academic transcripts, which must be submitted directly to LSAC.' Applicants must pay the CAS fee to LSAC or request a CAS waiver. Applicants must have earned, or be in the process of earning at the time of application, a four-year bachelor's degree from an institution accredited according to the U.S. Department of Education; international applicants must hold a degree equivalent to a U.S. baccalaureate. Per the university's 2026-2027 graduate catalog, foreign-educated JD applicants must demonstrate English proficiency (recommended minimums: TOEFL 100 iBT or IELTS 7.0), and matriculating students must provide an official transcript verifying conferral of the baccalaureate degree.

- LSAT or GRERequiredstart by Sep 16, 2026
Notes & source
Three exams are accepted — LSAT, GRE, and JD-Next — and the school considers the applicant's highest score. GRE takers select Texas A&M School of Law as a score recipient directly from ETS (Designated Institution code 2593); JD-Next takers designate the school to receive the score report including the writing sample. The 2026-2027 university catalog adds that scores may be no more than five years old and that a reportable LSAT or GRE score must be in the CAS report before it is released to the school. A test-optional path also exists (law.tamu.edu/admissions-aid/how-to-apply/jd/test-optional.html): 'Texas A&M Law has established a new process, to enroll a limited number of applicants on a test-optional basis. You should consider this process if you can demonstrate preparedness for law school independent of an LSAT, GRE, or JD Next score' — via excellent college performance, significant relevant work experience, military experience, a doctoral or master's degree, or passage of the Patent Bar. 'To be eligible for test-optional admission, you must not have a reportable LSAT, GRE, or JD Next score'; taking one of the exams after applying test-optional ends eligibility and rescinds any prior offers. Test-optional applicants may also submit a virtual interview, contribution statement, official SAT/ACT scores, TOEFL score, and a resume/CV. Separately, Aggie Direct admits a limited number of Texas A&M-College Station undergraduates without the LSAT or GRE.

Notes & source
The standard JD application pages do not mention an interview for regular applicants — recorded as the pages' silence, not as an explicit no-interview policy. The test-optional admission page lists a 'Virtual interview' among optional supplemental materials test-optional applicants 'might also consider submitting,' with submission instructions provided after the application is complete.

- Application feeOptionalat submission
Notes & source
THE FEE LINE DID NOT ROLL OVER WITH THE REST OF THE PAGE AND SHOULD NOT BE READ AS COVERING THIS CYCLE. As fetched on 2026-08-31 the JD admissions page carries Fall 2027 deadline tables throughout but still says, verbatim, 'Our JD application fee is automatically waived for all applicants for the 2025-2026 application cycle' — the just-closed cycle, named explicitly. This is the piecemeal-refresh trap in docs/CURATION.md: the deadline block rolled forward and this sentence did not. Nothing on the page states a fee or a waiver for 2026-27. Recorded as required false because the only live statement on the school's own site is a waiver, but an applicant should confirm with admissions before assuming the waiver renews. The school's 2025 ABA 509 report lists the application fee as 0, which certifies the waived cycle rather than this one. The university's 2026-2027 graduate catalog lists a $65 non-refundable fee for U.S. citizens and permanent residents and $90 for international applicants — a conflict recorded here with the law school's own page preferred, and a plausible indication of what returns if the waiver lapses. The LSAC CAS fee is separate and still applies: 'Applicants must pay a CAS fee directly to LSAC or ask for a CAS waiver.'
