What it costs, how graduates fare
- Bar passageclass of 2025
91.3%first-time+9.6
81.6% is the average for all ABA-accredited schools’ graduates in the same jurisdictions this school’s graduates sat in · 94 of 103 first-time takers passed
92.3% of the class of 2023 were admitted within two years of graduating
A pass rate on its own says as much about which states a school feeds as about the school, so the ABA’s own like-for-like average is shown with it.

- Employmentclass of 2025
96 of 103 (93.2%) in full-time, long-term jobs requiring bar admission
Ten months after graduation · 3 more in JD-advantage jobs · 3 still seeking
The ABA collects employment status and job type only. It collects no salary, so no salary figure comes from this filing.

- First-year attrition2024-25
8.0% of the first-year class · 10 students
No law school publishes a graduation rate, so this is not one. It is the students who left in their first year, academic and other, as filed. Transfers out are reported separately and are not counted here.

Not a starting salary.
$59,604 median one year after finishing · $82,360 after four
$107,773 is the national median at four years for the same credential
A College Scorecard median for 2017-18 and 2018-19 completers who received federal aid, measured a fixed number of years after they finished — not what this year’s graduates are being paid, and not a figure the school or the ABA publishes. The ABA collects no salary data at all.

Provide a 500-1,000 word essay outlining your motivation for studying law at Regent and any relevant skills or experiences.
Notes & source
RECORDED AT THE TOP OF A PRESCRIBED RANGE. '500-1,000 word' has no ceiling phrase of the kind docs/CURATION.md requires, but it is prescriptive rather than advisory -- the sentence begins 'Provide', in a numbered list of application steps, not 'we suggest' -- which is the South Dakota and Atlanta's John Marshall judgment in that doc. 1,000 is recorded because it is the length the school's own words permit; the 500-word floor is quoted here so an applicant has both ends. A REQUIRED WHY-REGENT ELEMENT IS BUILT INTO THE PROMPT: 'your motivation for studying law at Regent', not for studying law generally. No separate why_x_essay is recorded because Regent asks for no separate essay -- but a general personal statement does not answer this, and at this school the fit question is not decorative. MISSION FIT IS A NAMED ADMISSIONS CRITERION, and the school states what it means: 'The Regent Law admissions committee seeks to do more than simply enroll those with the greatest academic potential. We admit men and women who demonstrate academic ability, as well as a commitment to the university's mission as a Christ-centered institution.' The committee's published criteria list runs: 'Academic achievement (GPA, course rigor, and institution(s) attended); LSAT scores; Mission fit; Responses to the questions in the application for admission; Career accomplishments; Skills relevant to the practice of law.' NOTE THE FOURTH ITEM -- 'Responses to the questions in the application for admission' implies further written answers inside the LSAC form that these pages do not reproduce, so expect writing beyond this essay. No perspective statement or optional essay is published, so those types are omitted rather than recorded as absent.

- LSAT or GRERequiredstart by Sep 2, 2026
Notes & source
LSAT ONLY: 'Take the LSAT and enroll in the Credential Assembly Service (CAS).' NO GRE AND NO JD-NEXT ROUTE is mentioned anywhere on the J.D. programme page or the admissions-requirements page, and the 2025 509 prints a single LSAT row covering all 127 first-years with no GRE or JD-Next row. Under docs/CURATION.md the site's silence is not itself a denial, but the filing shows no alternative in use. HIGHEST SCORE GOVERNS, BUT ALL ARE READ: 'The admissions committee considers the highest LSAT score but reviews all scores and application materials when rendering a decision.' A TEST-FREE ROUTE EXISTS UNDER AN ABA INTERPRETATION, and unlike High Point's it is not restricted to the university's own undergraduates: 'Regent Law considers applicants who meet the criteria for admission under Interpretation of ABA Interpretation 503-3 as long as they apply through LSAC.org and indicate the criteria that they meet.' As at High Point, the burden is on the applicant to claim it on the form -- it is not applied automatically -- and the school invites a call about it. NO MINIMUM SCORE and no validity window is published. Regent runs its own preparation course: 'Regent University hosts an LSAT Prep Course twice a year and offers information on prep resources.'

- Transcripts via LSAC CASRequiredstart by Oct 11, 2026
Notes & source
A bachelor's degree before starting, not before applying: 'All J.D. applicants should possess a bachelor's degree from an approved college or university prior to beginning their legal studies.' NO MAJOR IS PREFERRED, and the school makes the point by range rather than by disclaimer: 'The Admissions Committee does not recommend any single major or undergraduate field of study, but welcomes majors ranging from political science to engineering, and from biblical studies to psychology.' TRANSCRIPTS AND CAS: 'Send official transcripts from all attended institutions to LSAC. If admitted before completing your bachelor's degree, submit an official final transcript to Regent Law School before matriculating.' Note the final transcript goes to the law school directly rather than through CAS. INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS have a published English requirement with two accepted tests, including Duolingo -- which several schools in this dataset refuse: 'Follow the International Admissions Checklist, including a TOEFL score of at least 100 or a Duolingo score of 125.' They are also 'Encouraged to apply by January 15.' ONE PROCEDURAL TERM WORTH KNOWING: 'Submit all admissions materials through the Law School Admission Council (LSAC). Note: Submitted materials are not returnable.'

- Letter of recommendationRequiredstart by Oct 4, 2026
Notes & source
ONE REQUIRED, FOUR ACCEPTED, AND THE CATEGORIES ARE NAMED -- INCLUDING ONE THAT IS UNIQUE TO THIS SCHOOL IN THIS DATASET: 'Submit at least one Academic Recommendation, or a General Recommendation if out of school for five years or more. A Spiritual Recommendation is encouraged. Limit recommendations to four, sent via LSAC's LOR Service.' The required letter is academic by default, with a general letter substituting only after five years out of school. The Spiritual Recommendation is encouraged rather than required, and follows from Regent describing itself as a Christ-centered institution and naming mission fit among its admissions criteria; an applicant should read it as a real invitation rather than as boilerplate. A MECHANICAL TRAP THE SCHOOL FLAGS ITSELF: 'Note: Recommenders, not the applicants, must upload the letters through LSAC's LOR Service.' An applicant who collects letters and uploads them personally will have none that count.

BY INVITATION ONLY, AND POSITIONED AFTER THE REST OF THE FILE IS COMPLETE: 'Once you have fulfilled the admission requirements listed in the application process below, you may be contacted for an admissions interview, which is by invitation only.' Read the sequencing -- an invitation follows a completed application rather than arriving alongside it, so it is a second stage rather than a screening step. No format, length or timing is published, and no applicant can request one. Required is false: nothing obliges an applicant to interview, and nothing they do can make one happen.

- Application feeRequiredat submission
Notes & source
A $65 NONREFUNDABLE FEE, AND REGENT IS THE ONLY SCHOOL IN THIS BATCH THAT DOES NOT TAKE IT ONLINE: 'Pay a $65 nonrefundable fee by check or money order to Regent University, Enrollment Support Services, 1000 Regent University Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23464.' The 2025 509 certifies the same figure ('Application fee 65'). A posted payment is a real scheduling constraint on an application that is otherwise entirely electronic -- budget mail time, particularly against the November 1 priority date. NO WAIVER PROCESS IS PUBLISHED on the J.D. programme page or the admissions-requirements page, neither a hardship route nor LSAC-waiver reciprocity, which is a gap at a school charging a fee. The same $65 applies to non-degree applicants. WHERE THE MONEY ACTUALLY MOVES IS THE EARLY COMMITMENT PROGRAM, described in the deadline notes: committing by March 1 buys 'priority consideration for Faculty Scholar Fellowships and enhanced scholarship opportunities-often significantly increased', in exchange for a binding undertaking to withdraw every other application. The school reports '$7+ Million in Annual Scholarships to 97% Law Students' for 2024-25.
