What it costs, how graduates fare
- Bar passageclass of 2025
75.9%first-time−3.2
79.1% is the average for all ABA-accredited schools’ graduates in the same jurisdictions this school’s graduates sat in · 101 of 133 first-time takers passed
85.9% of the class of 2023 were admitted within two years of graduating
A pass rate on its own says as much about which states a school feeds as about the school, so the ABA’s own like-for-like average is shown with it.

- Employmentclass of 2025
109 of 138 (79.0%) in full-time, long-term jobs requiring bar admission
Ten months after graduation · 3 more in JD-advantage jobs · 14 still seeking
The ABA collects employment status and job type only. It collects no salary, so no salary figure comes from this filing.

- First-year attrition2024-25
8.0% of the first-year class · 12 students
No law school publishes a graduation rate, so this is not one. It is the students who left in their first year, academic and other, as filed. Transfers out are reported separately and are not counted here.

- EarningsCollege Scorecard
Not a starting salary.
$53,246 median one year after finishing · $74,062 after four
$107,773 is the national median at four years for the same credential
A College Scorecard median for 2017-18 and 2018-19 completers who received federal aid, measured a fixed number of years after they finished — not what this year’s graduates are being paid, and not a figure the school or the ABA publishes. The ABA collects no salary data at all.

- Personal statementRequired · 4 pgstart by Jun 24, 2027
The statement is an opportunity to introduce yourself to the Admissions Committee. It should include information about your personal and career ambitions, as well as why you want to attend law school.
Notes & source
'Applicants are required to submit a personal statement of no more than four, double-spaced pages.' FOUR PAGES IS THE MOST GENEROUS CAP IN EITHER BATCH -- twice what most schools allow -- and 'no more than' is unambiguous ceiling language, so page_limit is recorded as 4 with confidence. Double spacing is specified; no font or margin instruction is given. The prompt names three things the statement 'should include': personal ambitions, career ambitions, and why you want to attend law school. Note that is why LAW, not why OCU -- no why-us question is asked, and no separate why_x_essay is published. THE STATEMENT IS EXPLICITLY A WRITING SAMPLE, and it is not the only one: the committee assesses 'writing ability as illustrated in the personal statement and LSAT writing sample', which is one of the few places in either batch where a school says outright that it reads the LSAT writing sample. NO PERSPECTIVE STATEMENT, OPTIONAL ESSAY, OR ADDENDUM is published anywhere, so those types are omitted -- and that matters here, because the committee says it weighs 'life experiences including hardships or difficulties overcome' with no named place to describe them. The four-page allowance is the only room an applicant has.

Letters & documents
- Letter of recommendation (1 of 2)Requiredstart by Jun 17, 2027
Notes & source
'Applicants are required to submit at least two but no more than four letters of recommendation.' WHO SHOULD WRITE: 'References from professors, work colleagues or supervisors who have personal knowledge of your academic or work performance are encouraged. Recommendation letters should speak to the applicant's potential to succeed in law school.' FOUR FORMAL REQUIREMENTS, each of which can invalidate a letter: a signature is required, 'preferably on letterhead'; 'Letters from family members are not accepted'; 'Letters must be dated within one year prior to submission of the application'; and letters must come 'directly through LSAC'. The one-year dating rule is the trap for career changers, whose best academic letter may be older than that. THE SHARPEST WARNING IN EITHER BATCH SITS IN THIS PARAGRAPH, and it is worth quoting in full because it inverts a strategy many applicants are advised to use: 'Please instruct anyone wishing to advocate for your admission to submit a formal letter of recommendation directly through LSAC. The Admissions Office will not accept, review, or consider unsolicited phone calls, emails, or informal outreach from alumni, attorneys, or other third-party advocates. Circumventing the standard application process in this manner is viewed as a lapse in professional judgment and may negatively impact the committee's evaluation of your file.' So a well-meaning call from an alumnus is not merely ignored -- it can count against the applicant. Anyone who wants to help must do it through a formal LSAC letter, inside the four-letter cap.

'Each applicant must submit a professional resume containing information about academic awards and honors, degrees, extracurricular activities, work experience and leadership positions.' Five named content areas, all expected rather than optional. ONE SCOPE INSTRUCTION: 'Applicants are encouraged to focus on activities in their undergraduate years and thereafter' -- which tells a traditional applicant to leave high school off, and tells a career changer that everything since the degree is in scope. No page limit or format is published, so none is recorded.

- LSAT or GRERequiredstart by May 16, 2027
Notes & source
THE LSAT IS THE ONLY TEST ACCEPTED, AND OCU REFUSES THE GRE BY NAME. The requirement: 'Applicants must take the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) and register with the LSAC Credential Assembly Service (CAS) by June of the year you are seeking admission.' The FAQ answers the question directly -- 'Do you accept the GRE for admission?' -- with 'We do not accept the GRE at this time.' That is an explicit denial rather than site silence, per docs/CURATION.md, though the hedge 'at this time' signals a policy that may move. No JD-Next variance is claimed and the 509 prints no JD-Next row. The 509 corroborates: all 160 first-year enrollees are certified in the LSAT row, with no GRE row printed. A HARD TEST DEADLINE, WHICH IS RARER THAN IT SOUNDS: the LSAT must be taken by June of the entry year, and the admissions calendar repeats it as 'June -- Deadline to take the LSAT for fall.' Since the application deadline is July 15, an applicant cannot file in July on the strength of a July or later sitting. NO MINIMUM SCORE is published, and nothing is said about superscoring, averaging, or how multiple sittings are treated -- silences rather than policies. What OCU does say about the role of the number is unusually clear: 'The objective indicators of success presented by each applicant, including undergraduate cumulative grade point average and LSAT score, are important factors in the selection process. However, no one is admitted or denied admission solely on the basis of any purely numerical indicator. Rather, all of the information in each application file is reviewed personally by the Admissions Committee.' The LSAT writing sample is separately named as something the committee reads.

- Transcripts via LSAC CASRequiredstart by Jun 24, 2027
Notes & source
'Applicants must request an official transcript from each undergraduate, graduate and professional school attended be sent directly to LSAC from the school.' Note the scope covers professional schools as well as undergraduate and graduate. DEGREE BY ENROLMENT, NOT BY APPLICATION: 'All candidates must have received a baccalaureate degree from an accredited four-year institution prior to enrollment at OCU Law.' CAS registration shares the LSAT's June deadline. No minimum GPA is published. WHAT THE COMMITTEE READS is set out at length and is worth planning a file around: 'The Admissions Committee review involves assessment of an applicant's personal characteristics, achievements, letters of recommendation, work experience, community service, undergraduate and any graduate study, personal qualities, writing ability as illustrated in the personal statement and LSAT writing sample, and life experiences including hardships or difficulties overcome. Every application is evaluated individually.' And the outcome is not appealable: 'The Admissions Committee's decision on an application is final.' NO INTERNATIONAL OR ENGLISH-PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENT is published on the admission basics page or the FAQ -- no TOEFL or IELTS minimum, no foreign-credential evaluation route, and no international-applicant instructions. Recorded as silence rather than absence. AN OFFER CAN BE RESCINDED ON FOUR PUBLISHED GROUNDS, two of which reach the transcript: 'the law school reserves the right to rescind an offer of admission if: 1) the applicant fails to maintain satisfactory academic progress, 2) final transcripts fail to show completion of courses or degrees required for matriculation, 3) incomplete or inaccurate information was submitted by the applicant, 4) personal or professional conduct issues arise that bring into question the fitness of the applicant for legal study or membership in the bar.'

- Application feeRequiredat submission
Notes & source
$50: 'The application must be accompanied by a $50.00 nonrefundable application fee.' The 509 independently certifies 'Application fee 50.00', so the two agree -- unlike Tulsa in this batch, where they do not. A WAIVER EXISTS BUT ITS TERMS DO NOT: 'Fee waivers are available to qualified candidates by contacting our Admissions department.' OCU publishes no eligibility criteria, no deadline, no form, and no description of what 'qualified' means, so the process is recorded as existing rather than as understood. An applicant who might qualify should email rather than guess. LSAC's own CAS and report charges are separate and OCU does not address them. Separately, after admission: a '$500.00 non-refundable seat deposit fee', applied toward fall tuition, due on a date set in the offer letter rather than published.

- InterviewOptionalat submission
Notes & source
Recorded as the site's silence, not as a statement that OCU does not interview. Neither the admissions landing page, the admission basics page -- which carries the four application steps, the admissions calendar, the factors considered, transfer terms, the seat deposit and the rescission grounds -- nor the admissions FAQ uses the word 'interview' in any form, as fetched on 2026-08-20. The published review is entirely file-based and individually read: 'all of the information in each application file is reviewed personally by the Admissions Committee.' Note the school's separate warning that informal outreach from third-party advocates 'may negatively impact the committee's evaluation of your file', recorded on the letter_of_recommendation entry -- OCU is unusually firm that the file is the only channel.
