What it costs, how graduates fare
- Tuition2025-26
$18,379–$33,357 full-time · resident to non-resident · plus $6,274 annual fees
Living expenses $28,051 on campus · $27,748 off
Tuition and the fees the school certifies alongside it — not a full cost of attendance.

- Bar passageclass of 2025
91.7%first-time+11.7
80.0% is the average for all ABA-accredited schools’ graduates in the same jurisdictions this school’s graduates sat in · 143 of 156 first-time takers passed
98.2% of the class of 2023 were admitted within two years of graduating
A pass rate on its own says as much about which states a school feeds as about the school, so the ABA’s own like-for-like average is shown with it.

- Employmentclass of 2025
144 of 158 (91.1%) in full-time, long-term jobs requiring bar admission
Ten months after graduation · 5 more in JD-advantage jobs · 5 still seeking
The ABA collects employment status and job type only. It collects no salary, so no salary figure comes from this filing.

- First-year attrition2024-25
3.0% of the first-year class · 5 students
No law school publishes a graduation rate, so this is not one. It is the students who left in their first year, academic and other, as filed. Transfers out are reported separately and are not counted here.

- EarningsCollege Scorecard
Not a starting salary.
$63,257 median one year after finishing · $86,893 after four
$105,518 is the national median at four years for the same credential
A College Scorecard median for 2017-18 and 2018-19 completers who received federal aid, measured a fixed number of years after they finished — not what this year’s graduates are being paid, and not a figure the school or the ABA publishes. The ABA collects no salary data at all.

- Personal statementRequired · 3 pgstart by Feb 22, 2027
Personal statement not to exceed three double-spaced pages
Notes & source
OU Law publishes no topic, question, or prompt for the personal statement — the quoted line is the entire specification, given as a bullet under 'Application packages must include.' No font, margin, or word requirements are published. The page adds that the statement is among the factors considered ('We consider many factors in our decision-making process, including your LSAT scores, personal statement, and letters of recommendation') and that the Admissions Committee derives insight into 'motivation, character and capability' from 'a careful examination of the resume, personal statement, letters of recommendation, and other contents in the file.'

- Letter of recommendationOptionalstart by Feb 15, 2027
Notes & source
The page's own wording is contradictory and is recorded verbatim: the bullet appears under 'Application packages must include' but reads 'Two letters of recommendation* (optional).' Recorded here as not required because the page marks them optional; two is the number named. The footnote: 'The most useful recommendation letters are those individuals who have had substantial opportunities to observe the applicant's motivation, character, academic ability, and other qualitative variables. Applicants who have been away from college for a considerable time may wish to furnish recommendations from employers or others with whom they have had recent contact.' The page does not say whether letters go through LSAC's Letter of Recommendation Service, nor whether more than two are accepted.

- Transcripts via LSAC CASRequiredstart by Feb 22, 2027
Notes & source
Applicants must 'Register with the Law School Admission Council Credential Assembly Service (CAS)' and 'Submit all undergraduate and graduate transcripts directly to LSAC. Please have a separate transcript sent to LSAC directly from each institution you attended. Transcripts are submitted through LSAC by both LSAT and GRE test-takers.' A bachelor's degree must be completed prior to the first day of law school. International students whose primary language is not English must submit TOEFL scores; the preferred score is 600 paper-based, 250 computer-based, or 100 internet-based. The page does not mention IELTS or Duolingo.

- LSAT or GRERequiredstart by Jan 14, 2027
Notes & source
Applicants must 'Take the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) or Graduate Record Examination (GRE) (OU Law GRE Code: 4930).' From the page's FAQs: 'OU Law takes your highest LSAT score when reviewing applications'; for the GRE, 'OU Law will use a student's Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning score to calculate their predicted LSAT score. This predicted score will be interpreted as if it were an LSAT score'; and if an applicant takes both, 'Only your LSAT score will be considered for admissions purposes.' The committee has no preference between the two tests and scholarships are determined the same way. 'OU Law does not use numerical cutoffs when rendering an admissions decision.' The page does not state a score-validity window (how old a score may be), does not mention JD-Next, and does not mention an LSAT Writing requirement — recorded as the page's silence, not as a policy. Applications are submitted through LSAC by both LSAT and GRE test-takers. All 200 members of the Fall 2025 entering class were admitted on the LSAT per the school's 2025 ABA 509 report, which reports no GRE percentiles.

- Application feeRequiredat submission
Notes & source
'A $50 non-refundable application and processing fee payment.' The same figure appears as 'Application fee $50.00' in the school's 2025 ABA Standard 509 report. Waivers: 'We believe cost should never be a barrier to applying. To request a $50 application fee waiver, please complete our Request Form' — the form is hosted at communications.law.ou.edu/fee-waiver. The page also points applicants to LSAC's own Fee Waiver Program.

- InterviewOptionalat submission
Notes & source
By invitation, and only described in an admissions-office article, not in the application instructions. The June 26, 2026 article 'What Happens After You Apply to Law School?' states: 'After submitting the formal law school application, many students will be invited to an in-person or virtual interview. Applicants are often surprised to learn that interviews are part of the admissions process at some law schools, including OU Law,' adding that 'interviews are typically designed to be conversations rather than formal evaluations.' The J.D. Application Process page does not mention interviews at all, and no page says who is invited, when, or whether declining affects the decision. Separately — and distinctly — the J.D. Admissions page offers any prospective student a self-scheduled meeting with an admissions team member (a Calendly booking named 'ou-law-prospective-student-interview'); nothing on that page ties it to application review.
