What it costs, how graduates fare
- Tuition2025-26
$24,388–$38,454 full-time · resident to non-resident · plus $1,004 annual fees
$20,636–$32,538 part-time
Living expenses $16,212 on campus · $20,932 off
Tuition and the fees the school certifies alongside it — not a full cost of attendance.

- Bar passageclass of 2025
76.2%first-time−2.4
78.6% is the average for all ABA-accredited schools’ graduates in the same jurisdictions this school’s graduates sat in · 64 of 84 first-time takers passed
92.9% of the class of 2023 were admitted within two years of graduating
A pass rate on its own says as much about which states a school feeds as about the school, so the ABA’s own like-for-like average is shown with it.

- Employmentclass of 2025
66 of 96 (68.8%) in full-time, long-term jobs requiring bar admission
Ten months after graduation · 12 more in JD-advantage jobs · 6 still seeking
The ABA collects employment status and job type only. It collects no salary, so no salary figure comes from this filing.

- First-year attrition2024-25
8.0% of the first-year class · 13 students
No law school publishes a graduation rate, so this is not one. It is the students who left in their first year, academic and other, as filed. Transfers out are reported separately and are not counted here.

Not a starting salary.
$47,291 median one year after finishing · $74,937 after four
$107,773 is the national median at four years for the same credential
A College Scorecard median for 2017-18 and 2018-19 completers who received federal aid, measured a fixed number of years after they finished — not what this year’s graduates are being paid, and not a figure the school or the ABA publishes. The ABA collects no salary data at all.

- Personal statementRequiredstart by Mar 11, 2027
Notes & source
Required as part of the online application: 'The online application includes a personal statement, résumé, and optional helpful information.' THAT IS THE WHOLE PUBLISHED SPECIFICATION FOR IT. Chase publishes no prompt, no question, no suggested topics, no page or word limit, and no formatting instruction on the JD application page as fetched on 2026-08-20, so both the prompt and the limit fields are left unset rather than reconstructed. The nearest thing to guidance is the admission policy, which names what the committee weighs: 'the applicant's testing and academic performance history; employment background; leadership, community, or volunteer service; significant academic or professional achievements; and other talents, skills, or experiences disclosed by the applicant that demonstrate an aptitude to complete our degree requirements.' The policy also states an interest worth writing toward: 'The College of Law also recognizes the importance of enrolling a student body that represents unique viewpoints because of varied personal, educational, and professional experiences.' NO WHY-CHASE QUESTION is asked and no separate why_x_essay, perspective statement, or optional essay is published, so those types are omitted rather than recorded as absent. PART-TIME APPLICANTS HAVE A SECOND MANDATORY PIECE OF WRITING; see the addendum entry.

- AddendumOptionalstart by Mar 29, 2027
Notes & source
OPTIONAL ADDENDA ARE OFFERED IN BROAD TERMS: the online application includes 'optional helpful information, such as explanations of academic history, standardized testing history, or employment.' No length, format or count is published. ONE ADDENDUM IS MANDATORY FOR PART-TIME APPLICANTS AND IS EASY TO MISS, since it sits in the same paragraph rather than in a requirements list: 'Applicants to the evening division or part-time day program must explain their need for part-time study, including employment duties and work hours or other responsibilities.' Note what it asks for -- not a preference but a NEED, evidenced by hours and duties. Chase runs both a part-time day and a part-time evening division, so this catches a substantial share of applicants. CHARACTER AND FITNESS IS SPECIFIED IN DETAIL AND THE APPLICATION ASKS SEVEN QUESTIONS: 'The best policy is full disclosure when answering each of the seven questions. If you answered "yes" to any of the questions, you must attach a detailed explanation for each offense. Be sure to include the date, location, the nature of the charge, a detailed account of the circumstances leading to the charge, the disposition of the case, and any sanction imposed.' AND DOCUMENTS ALONE ARE EXPRESSLY NOT ENOUGH: 'Attaching third-party records such as court records or educational records without including your detailed explanation is insufficient.' The consequences and the continuing duty are both stated: 'Failure to disclose conduct relating to character and fitness could result in revocation of your admission to or expulsion from the College, revocation of a scholarship offer, or a state's refusal to admit you to practice law. Your responsibility to immediately notify the law school if any answer becomes inaccurate or incomplete after submission of this application continues throughout the admissions process. If you are admitted to and enrolled in the College of Law, this responsibility continues during your law school enrollment.' Note that a scholarship offer is named as separately revocable. Recorded on this entry because the taxonomy in docs/DATA.md has no character-and-fitness type; required is false because every obligation here is conditional.

Letters & documents
- RésuméRequiredstart by Mar 25, 2027
Notes & source
Required as part of the online application, which 'includes a personal statement, résumé, and optional helpful information'. NO GUIDANCE OF ANY KIND is published for it: no page limit, no format, no content direction, and no statement of what the committee looks for in it. Recorded as the school's silence. The admission policy's list of factors -- employment background, leadership and community or volunteer service, significant academic or professional achievements -- is the best available indication of what the document should carry.

- Letter of recommendationRequiredstart by Mar 4, 2027
Notes & source
REQUIRED BUT UNQUANTIFIED, which is unusual: 'Applicants must register for the LSAC Credential Assembly Service and must send all transcripts and letters of recommendation to the Credential Assembly Service. The College of Law will not be able to complete your application without your Credential Assembly Service report.' Letters are named as part of the CAS package an application cannot be completed without, which is what establishes them as required -- but CHASE NEVER STATES A NUMBER. No minimum, no maximum, no suggested range appears anywhere on the JD application page as fetched on 2026-08-20, so both count_required and count_accepted are left unset rather than guessed. NO GUIDANCE ON WHO SHOULD WRITE either -- no preference for academic over professional recommenders, no discouraged categories, no recency rule, and nothing about what a letter should address. An applicant has to decide the number and the sources unaided, and would do well to ask admissions rather than guess. Delivery is through the Credential Assembly Service only.

- LSAT or GRERequiredstart by Jan 31, 2027
Notes & source
BOTH TESTS ARE ACCEPTED WITHOUT PENALTY: 'You must take either the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) or the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) before the committee will consider your application to law school.' GRE scores route through ETS directly -- 'If you plan to take the GRE, you must direct the Educational Testing Service (ETS) to send your GRE scores to Chase College of Law. Our ETS code is 0985.' THE LSAT DISPLACES THE GRE IF YOU HAVE ONE: 'If you take both the LSAT and GRE, you must report your LSAT score.' So a strong GRE cannot be used to hide a weak LSAT already on file -- the same rule Dayton and Willamette apply in these batches. TIMING GUIDANCE RATHER THAN A CUTOFF: 'You should plan to take a test no later than the spring of the year of planned entry.' Since Chase publishes no application deadline at all, that sentence is the closest thing to one for testing purposes. NO MINIMUM SCORE is published, and nothing is said about superscoring, averaging, or how multiple sittings are weighed -- silences rather than policies. No JD-Next variance is claimed and the 509 prints no JD-Next row. The 509 shows both routes are live: 151 first-years enrolled on an LSAT score and 4 on a GRE score, the latter below the ABA's under-10 publication floor so no GRE benchmark is published. A DUAL-DEGREE CARVE-OUT worth knowing: for the JD/MBA, 'Applicants who have taken the Law School Admission Test and have been admitted to Chase are not required to take the GRE General Test' -- so the LSAT satisfies the business school's testing requirement too.

- Transcripts via LSAC CASRequiredstart by Mar 11, 2027
Notes & source
'You must send transcripts directly to the LSAC Credential Assembly Service from all undergraduate, graduate, and professional schools you have attended. Prior to enrolling in the College of Law, you must have obtained a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution.' Admission is conditional on the degree: 'admission is conditional upon the applicant's receipt of the degree', with an exception for 'approved accelerated law programs'. CHASE PUBLISHES THE MOST DETAILED DEGREE-VERIFICATION POLICY IN EITHER BATCH, written to ABA Standard 502(d)-(e), and it sets THREE dates rather than one. First, a pre-enrolment one: 'all applicants who anticipate enrolling at Chase College of Law are required to submit an official transcript showing the conferral of a bachelor's degree to the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) no later than July 1 of the year of matriculation' -- exempting 3+3 students, 'as such students may not earn their bachelor's degree until completion of their first year of law school.' Second, the ABA deadline: 'For students matriculating in the fall semester, the official transcript must be received no later than October 15 of the year of matriculation', or 'within four weeks of the first day of classes' for other terms. A CONDITIONAL ROUTE EXISTS FOR APPLICANTS WHOSE TRANSCRIPT IS LATE, which most schools do not offer: those who miss July 1 'may not enroll... unless they provide: A signed letter on institutional letterhead from the degree-granting institution confirming that all degree requirements have been satisfied; and An attestation from the institution indicating the anticipated date on which an official transcript reflecting degree conferral will become available.' THE CONSEQUENCES OF MISSING THE ABA DEADLINE ARE GRADUATED RATHER THAN IMMEDIATE: the student may finish the current semester but 'shall not be permitted to enroll in, register for, or attend classes in any subsequent semester', and Chase may prevent registration, cancel it, impose administrative leave, or administratively withdraw the student. Reinstatement is available once the transcript arrives. No minimum GPA is published, and no international or English-proficiency requirement appears on this page -- recorded as silence.

Administrative
- Application feeRequiredat submission
Notes & source
$50: 'All Juris Doctor applications and a $50 application fee are submitted electronically through the Law School Admission Council (LSAC).' The 509 independently certifies 'Application fee 50.00', so the two agree. NO FEE-WAIVER PROCESS IS PUBLISHED ANYWHERE on the JD application page -- not need-based, not keyed to an LSAC waiver, not tied to an event. Recorded as the school's silence on waivers rather than as a statement that none exists. LSAC's own CAS and report charges are separate and Chase does not address them. Separately, after admission, two non-refundable deposits totalling $500 fall due: an 'Acceptance Deposit of $200, paid during April or May, depending on your admission date', and a 'Registration Deposit of $300 by the date in your admission packet'. Both are credited to first-term tuition.

- InterviewOptionalat submission
Notes & source
Recorded as the site's silence, not as a statement that Chase does not interview. The JD application page -- which carries the dates, the admission policy, the how-to-begin steps, testing, transcripts, character and fitness, deposits and the full degree-verification policy -- never uses the word 'interview', as fetched on 2026-08-20. The published review is file-based and committee-read: applications 'are considered by the Chase Admissions Committee of deans and professors', which 'will complete a thorough review of the required application materials'. That the committee is composed of deans and professors rather than admissions staff is itself unusual enough to note.
