What it costs, how graduates fare
- Tuition2025-26
$37,980 full-time · plus $1,662 annual fees
Tuition and the fees the school certifies alongside it — not a full cost of attendance. This school certifies a guaranteed-tuition programme.

- Bar passageclass of 2025
81.6%first-time+0.7
81.0% is the average for all ABA-accredited schools’ graduates in the same jurisdictions this school’s graduates sat in · 80 of 98 first-time takers passed
85.6% of the class of 2023 were admitted within two years of graduating
A pass rate on its own says as much about which states a school feeds as about the school, so the ABA’s own like-for-like average is shown with it.

- Employmentclass of 2025
93 of 103 (90.3%) in full-time, long-term jobs requiring bar admission
Ten months after graduation · 1 more in JD-advantage jobs · 6 still seeking
The ABA collects employment status and job type only. It collects no salary, so no salary figure comes from this filing.

- First-year attrition2024-25
17.0% of the first-year class · 24 students
No law school publishes a graduation rate, so this is not one. It is the students who left in their first year, academic and other, as filed. Transfers out are reported separately and are not counted here.

- EarningsCollege Scorecard
Not a starting salary.
$55,522 median one year after finishing · $70,352 after four
$107,773 is the national median at four years for the same credential
A College Scorecard median for 2017-18 and 2018-19 completers who received federal aid, measured a fixed number of years after they finished — not what this year’s graduates are being paid, and not a figure the school or the ABA publishes. The ABA collects no salary data at all.

Essays
- Personal statementRequiredstart by Jun 24, 2027
The personal statement provides an opportunity for you to present yourself, your background, your ideas, and your qualifications to the Admissions Committee.
Notes & source
Required and submitted inside the LSAC application: 'This document is submitted as part of the LSAC Admissions Application.' NO LENGTH, PAGE COUNT OR FORMAT IS PUBLISHED anywhere on the apply or admissions pages, which were both fetched. The prompt is broad and offers four subjects -- yourself, your background, your ideas, your qualifications -- with no question to answer and no stated preference among them. NO WHY-MC QUESTION is asked, and no perspective statement or optional essay is published, so those types are omitted rather than recorded as absent. One thing worth knowing about the school this statement is going to: MC Law's parent institution renamed itself Mississippi Christian University on 1 June 2026, and the law school's own pages now carry that name throughout while continuing to go by MC Law. The 2025 509 is still filed as 'Mississippi College School of Law'.

- LSAT or GRERequiredstart by May 16, 2027
Notes & source
LSAT ONLY, WITH A FIVE-YEAR WINDOW MEASURED FROM APPLICATION: 'You must have taken the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT) within five years of application to MC Law; scores older than five years will not be considered.' Note it is five years from application rather than from enrollment -- a distinction that costs an applicant a season either way depending on the school. NO GRE AND NO JD-NEXT ROUTE is mentioned anywhere on these pages, and the 2025 509 prints a single LSAT row covering all 179 first-years with no GRE or JD-Next row. Under docs/CURATION.md the site's silence is not itself a denial, but 'You must have taken the LSAT' is affirmative and the filing shows no alternative in use. NO MINIMUM SCORE and no policy on multiple scores -- neither a highest-score nor an averaging rule -- is published, which is a real gap. THE SCHOOL RUNS ITS OWN LSAT REVIEW COURSE, positioned as a top-up rather than a substitute for preparation: 'Most students will spend several months preparing for the LSAT. The Mississippi Christian University LSAT review course is intended to be a capstone review after you have completed your own LSAT preparation. This LSAT review includes two LSAT exams with answers and explanations for each section.' No price or eligibility is published; registration is by phone.

- Transcripts via LSAC CASRequiredstart by Jun 24, 2027
Notes & source
A four-year degree is required, and confirmation is a condition of registering rather than of applying: 'A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university is required and confirmation of your degree is necessary before you can register at MC Law.' CAS IS BUNDLED INTO THE APPLICATION RATHER THAN BEING A SEPARATE STEP, which is worth knowing because it removes a common failure point: 'The Central Assembly Service (CAS) Report, provided by the Law School Admissions Council, is sent to the law school upon request and includes your undergraduate transcript summary, copies of all undergraduate and graduate transcripts, LSAT scores, and a copy of the LSAT writing sample. CAS registration takes place as part of the LSAC Admissions Application.' (The school writes 'Central Assembly Service'; LSAC's own name for it is the Credential Assembly Service.) Note the CAS report carries the LSAT writing sample here, so it is read. No minimum GPA is published and no major is preferred. TRANSFER AND VISITING ROUTES: transfers from ABA-accredited schools 'may bring no more than 30 credit hours for consideration', and visiting students from ABA schools 'are eligible to apply to study at MC Law during any semester beyond their first year of study', needing good standing, a dean's permission letter and an advanced-standing application available only on request from the admissions office.

- Letter of recommendationOptionalstart by Jun 17, 2027
Notes & source
LETTERS ARE NOT REQUIRED AT MC LAW, stated as a flat denial and then immediately softened: 'Letters of recommendation are not required, but can be effective in enhancing your application.' Under docs/CURATION.md that is an explicit denial rather than silence, which is why it is recorded rather than omitted. This is the third school in this batch to make letters optional, after Cooley and Bowen, and it is a real saving for an applicant budgeting recommender time. WHO SHOULD WRITE, IF YOU SEND ANY: 'MC Law particularly encourages evaluations and recommendations from people who are familiar with your academic ability or work performance.' DELIVERY IS EITHER WAY: 'MC Law accepts recommendations sent directly to the Admissions Office or received through the LSDAS Letter of Recommendation Service.' (LSDAS is LSAC's former name for what is now CAS; the school's page has not been updated.) No maximum is published, so no count_accepted is recorded.

Administrative
- Application feeOptionalat submission
Notes & source
NO APPLICATION FEE. MC Law's apply and admissions pages never mention one in either direction; the school's 2025 ABA Standard 509 certifies 'Application fee 0', so the filing is the source and is cited as such. No waiver process is published, which follows from there being nothing to waive; LSAC's own CAS and report fees are separate and MC Law does not address them. A SEPARATE ADMISSIONS DEPOSIT EXISTS and has its own page in the admissions menu, but no amount or deadline is published on the apply page. WORTH NOTING ALONGSIDE THE PRICE: the 509 certifies that MC Law operates a TUITION GUARANTEE PROGRAMME -- one of the few schools in this batch to do so -- which fixes the rate against increases during a student's enrollment. Certified tuition is $37,980 annually plus $1,662 in fees, flat across residency.
