What it costs, how graduates fare
- Tuition2025-26
$57,962 full-time · plus $825 annual fees
Tuition and the fees the school certifies alongside it — not a full cost of attendance.

- Bar passageclass of 2025
85.8%first-time+3.9
82.0% is the average for all ABA-accredited schools’ graduates in the same jurisdictions this school’s graduates sat in · 176 of 205 first-time takers passed
89.8% of the class of 2023 were admitted within two years of graduating
A pass rate on its own says as much about which states a school feeds as about the school, so the ABA’s own like-for-like average is shown with it.

- Employmentclass of 2025
155 of 198 (78.3%) in full-time, long-term jobs requiring bar admission
Ten months after graduation · 3 more in JD-advantage jobs · 15 still seeking
The ABA collects employment status and job type only. It collects no salary, so no salary figure comes from this filing.

- First-year attrition2024-25
7.0% of the first-year class · 13 students
No law school publishes a graduation rate, so this is not one. It is the students who left in their first year, academic and other, as filed. Transfers out are reported separately and are not counted here.

- EarningsCollege Scorecard
Not a starting salary.
$65,069 median one year after finishing · $88,461 after four
$107,773 is the national median at four years for the same credential
A College Scorecard median for 2017-18 and 2018-19 completers who received federal aid, measured a fixed number of years after they finished — not what this year’s graduates are being paid, and not a figure the school or the ABA publishes. The ABA collects no salary data at all.

Essays
- Personal statementRequired · 2 pgstart by Mar 25, 2027
A maximum two-paged, double-spaced personal statement explaining your motivations for pursuing a legal education at Gonzaga Law.
Notes & source
TWO PAGES IS A HARD CAP and among the shortest in this data set. That single sentence is the entire instruction — no font or margin requirement is published, and nothing is said about generative AI. THE PROMPT HAS A WHY-SCHOOL CLAUSE BUILT IN: it asks for motivations for pursuing a legal education 'at Gonzaga Law', not for law generally, which is why this file records no separate why_x_essay row. An applicant reusing a generic personal statement will not have answered the question as asked, and has only two pages in which to do it.

- AddendumOptionalstart by Apr 12, 2027
Notes & source
GONZAGA FOLDS WHAT OTHER SCHOOLS SPLIT INTO THREE DOCUMENTS INTO ONE OPTIONAL CATEGORY CALLED ADDENDA: 'Statements relating to cultural and ethnic diversity, public service, or other relevant information for your application may be included in a separate addendum.' So the perspective-statement material, a public-service statement, and any conventional explanatory addendum all travel under the same heading — which is why this file records no separate perspective_statement row. No prompt, length limit, or format is published, and the school does not say whether multiple addenda are welcome or one combined document is expected. A SEPARATE AND EMPHATIC DISCLOSURE OBLIGATION sits at the end of the requirements list, though Gonzaga never uses the phrase character and fitness on this page: 'Important: We require full disclosure on the application. Failure to comply could result in the denial of your application, and may be cause for dismissal after admission or registration.' The consequences run past admission into enrolment. Recorded as required: false because the addendum itself is optional.

- Letter of recommendation (1 of 2)Requiredstart by Mar 18, 2027
Notes & source
'Two letters of recommendation are required and must be submitted to the Credential Assembly Service (CAS). We strongly advise that at least one recommendation be written by a college professor or instructor. If you have been out of school for an extended period of time, letters from employers are accepted.' No ceiling is published, so count_accepted is omitted. THE TWO LETTERS GATE THE WHOLE FILE, a mechanic applicants routinely underestimate: 'The CAS report will not be released to Gonzaga until at least two letters of recommendation and official transcripts have been received by LSAC.' A slow recommender therefore holds up the transcripts and the test score as well, which matters against an April 15 completeness deadline.

Listed among the application requirements with content guidance but no limit: 'May include, but is not limited to, employment history; academic accomplishments; extracurricular activities; college internships; civic, community, or other volunteer service.' No page limit or format requirement is published, so none is recorded.

- Transcripts via LSAC CASRequiredstart by Mar 25, 2027
Notes & source
'Credential Assembly Service (CAS) report through LSAC. Includes transcripts from all institutions attended. The CAS report will not be released to Gonzaga until at least two letters of recommendation and official transcripts have been received by LSAC.' All applications route through LSAC: 'All applications must be completed online through the Law School Admissions Council (LSAC) website.' DEGREE, WITH A LATE DEADLINE: 'For admission consideration, you must have earned, or be a candidate for, a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Your baccalaureate degree must be completed by the first day of class at Gonzaga Law.' So an applicant may apply, be admitted, and still be finishing the degree over the summer. No minimum GPA is published. INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS have their own page, not fetched for this file, so no TOEFL or IELTS requirement is recorded here — recorded as unexamined rather than as a silence.

- LSAT or GRERequiredstart by Feb 14, 2027
Notes & source
NO TEST IS STRICTLY MANDATORY, BUT THE CHOICE COSTS MONEY — Gonzaga's phrasing is unusually soft and the consequence unusually concrete: 'A valid LSAT score is strongly encouraged for all applicants. It is also required to ensure consideration for guaranteed merit scholarships. Gonzaga Law may admit a student with a GRE or JD-Next score, though scholarships may be limited. Please contact the admissions team if you will not be applying with an LSAT score.' Read carefully: the LSAT is encouraged rather than required, all three tests can support an admission, and only the LSAT preserves full scholarship eligibility — at a school where '100% of 2025 1L students received merit awards', that is a substantial difference. A non-LSAT applicant is also asked to make contact before applying. required is recorded as true because a file with no admission test at all is not contemplated anywhere. JD-NEXT has its own policy page, which the FAQ points to without summarising: 'Can I apply with a JD-Next score? Please review our JD-Next policy to determine whether or not it makes sense for you.' That page was not fetched for this file. TIMING: February is the recommended last LSAT, April is possible if the file completes by April 15 — see the deadline entry. No score-validity window and no multiple-score policy (highest versus average) is published. Gonzaga's 2025 ABA Standard 509 report reports all 203 first-year enrollees as LSAT admissions enrollees and prints no GRE row and no JD Next row at all — so in practice, in that class, every admitted student came in on an LSAT score.

- Application feeOptionalat submission
Notes & source
NOTHING TO PAY, AND GONZAGA EXPLAINS WHY: 'Can I receive an application fee waiver? Thanks to generous donations from our supportive alumni, all of our application fees have been waived.' Gonzaga's 2025 ABA Standard 509 report independently lists the application fee as 0. Recorded as required: false because there is nothing to pay and no waiver to request — the fee has been removed for everyone rather than waived case by case. LSAC's own CAS and Letter of Recommendation Service fees are separate and are not addressed by Gonzaga's pages.

- InterviewOptionalat submission
Notes & source
Recorded as the site's silence, not as a statement that Gonzaga does not interview. No Gonzaga Law admission page fetched on 2026-08-18 — the admission overview, the apply page with its full requirements list, the FAQ, or the Why Gonzaga Law page — mentions an admissions interview of any kind. The FAQ's visit answer lists what the school does offer prospective students and stops short of an interview: 'Tours of the Law School hosted by current students / Individual meetings with one of our admission counselors / An opportunity to sit in on a 1L class / Virtual visits and more.' An individual meeting with an admission counsellor is not described as evaluative.
