What it costs, how graduates fare
- Bar passageclass of 2025
88.8%first-time+12.4
76.4% is the average for all ABA-accredited schools’ graduates in the same jurisdictions this school’s graduates sat in · 119 of 134 first-time takers passed
93.9% of the class of 2023 were admitted within two years of graduating
A pass rate on its own says as much about which states a school feeds as about the school, so the ABA’s own like-for-like average is shown with it.

- Employmentclass of 2025
115 of 132 (87.1%) in full-time, long-term jobs requiring bar admission
Ten months after graduation · 7 more in JD-advantage jobs · 0 still seeking
The ABA collects employment status and job type only. It collects no salary, so no salary figure comes from this filing.

- First-year attrition2024-25
2.0% of the first-year class · 2 students
No law school publishes a graduation rate, so this is not one. It is the students who left in their first year, academic and other, as filed. Transfers out are reported separately and are not counted here.

- EarningsCollege Scorecard
Not a starting salary.
$62,854 median one year after finishing · $98,060 after four
$107,773 is the national median at four years for the same credential
A College Scorecard median for 2017-18 and 2018-19 completers who received federal aid, measured a fixed number of years after they finished — not what this year’s graduates are being paid, and not a figure the school or the ABA publishes. The ABA collects no salary data at all.

- Personal statementRequiredat submission
Each year, the Admissions Committee receives applications from many more qualified individuals than the law school is able to admit. In making admissions decisions among applicants with comparable LSAT and/or GRE scores and GPAs, the Committee considers a number of other factors. These include: interesting or demanding work or service experience; leadership potential; rigor of undergraduate course of study; graduate study; economic need requiring significant employment during college; and extraordinary family or personal responsibilities. Your personal statement should discuss any of these factors that you would like the Committee to consider.
Notes & source
'The personal statement is typically 2-3 pages, typed and double-spaced.' Recorded without a page_limit because the page frames 2-3 pages as typical rather than a hard maximum.

- Perspective statementOptional · 2 pgat submission
In no more than two typed pages (double-spaced, using a 12 point font), please feel free to submit a Seminole Statement to provide the Admissions Committee with insights and examples from your life to share a quality of your character, and/or a unique ability that you possess to describe how you would uniquely contribute to the academic and student communities at the Florida State University College of Law.
Notes & source
Called the 'Seminole Statement (optional)'. Classified as perspective_statement because it asks for life insights showing character and unique contribution to the school's communities (it also carries some why-FSU flavor). The prompt is preceded by a preamble describing Tallahassee's legal community, Florida's economy and range of practice settings, and the school's 'culture of belonging, where every person feels valued and has an opportunity to contribute.'

- AddendumOptionalat submission
Notes & source
Two distinct items on the checklist. (1) 'Academic Addendum (optional)': 'You may include an academic addendum, explaining any circumstances that you believe may have negatively affected your undergraduate GPA or performance on the LSAT. If included, it must be submitted through LSAC.' No length limit published. (2) 'Educational Institution Discipline or Violations of Law' — mandatory when applicable: a written explanation with a description and the final disposition of the incident(s), PLUS copies of official documents (court documents, citations, letters of good standing, sanction letters, etc.); official documentation must include the final disposition to be valid (see application questions five and six). Post-submission updates (employment, academic, or law-violation documents) go to admissions@law.fsu.edu; updated transcripts and LORs go through LSAC.

- Letter of recommendationOptionalat submission
Notes & source
Site wording: 'No letters of recommendation are required, although they are encouraged. If you choose to submit letters of recommendation to support your application, FSU requires that they be submitted through LSAC using the Credential Assembly Services (CAS)'. The page does not state a maximum number of letters accepted, so count_accepted is omitted.

'A detailed resume should accompany the application and must be submitted through LSAC.' No page limit or formatting rules are published.

- Transcripts via LSAC CASRequiredat submission
Notes & source
All applicants must register with LSAC's Credential Assembly Service; the CAS report includes all official transcripts from undergraduate and graduate institutions attended, and applicants must be in good standing at the bachelor's degree-granting institution. Eligibility: a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution (or international equivalent) held or earned before fall classes begin; prior law school attendees must apply as transfers, and applicants academically dismissed from a law school are ineligible. International applicants submit transcripts to LSAC through CAS for evaluation; those whose native language is not English and who did not earn a U.S. bachelor's degree must submit TOEFL (minimum 100 internet-based, 250 computer-based, 600 paper-based) or IELTS (minimum 7.5) through LSAC. Admitted students must have a final, degree-bearing transcript sent through CAS by October 15 (ABA requirement; extensions on request if the degree confers after August 1).

- LSAT or GRERequiredat submission
Notes & source
LSAT or GRE accepted, but not both: 'If an applicant has an existing reportable LSAT score, a GRE score will not be considered in lieu of the existing LSAT. GRE scores may be utilized only when a reportable LSAT does not exist.' If submitting the GRE, all reportable scores from the last five years must be submitted, sent through ETS (school code 5219) — not via CAS; processing can take four to six weeks, so an unofficial score report should be uploaded through LSAC or emailed to admissions. The CAS report includes all valid LSAT scores from the past five years. LSAT Writing is required (LSAC will not release LSAT scores without a writing sample on file; a prior reportable sample suffices; not required for GRE applicants). 'The latest LSAT score accepted for fall 2026 consideration is from the June 2026 administration.' Per the Early Binding Decision page, EBD applicants should ideally have an LSAT score before the December administration.

- Application feeRequiredat submission
Notes & source
'$30 paid online through LSAC. LSAC fee waivers are accepted. Applicants may request a fee waiver.' Non-refundable; the page links a school fee-waiver request form, and the $30 amount also appears in the school's 2025 ABA Standard 509 report.
