What it costs, how graduates fare

Tuition2025-26

$19,139–$36,148 full-time · resident to non-resident · plus $2,665 annual fees

Living expenses $22,276 on campus · $26,646 off

Tuition and the fees the school certifies alongside it — not a full cost of attendance.

Bar passageclass of 2025

90.2%first-time+13.1

77.1% is the average for all ABA-accredited schools’ graduates in the same jurisdictions this school’s graduates sat in · 184 of 204 first-time takers passed

95.2% of the class of 2023 were admitted within two years of graduating

A pass rate on its own says as much about which states a school feeds as about the school, so the ABA’s own like-for-like average is shown with it.

Employmentclass of 2025

191 of 215 (88.8%) in full-time, long-term jobs requiring bar admission

Ten months after graduation · 11 more in JD-advantage jobs · 2 still seeking

The ABA collects employment status and job type only. It collects no salary, so no salary figure comes from this filing.

First-year attrition2024-25

1.0% of the first-year class · 2 students

No law school publishes a graduation rate, so this is not one. It is the students who left in their first year, academic and other, as filed. Transfers out are reported separately and are not counted here.

EarningsCollege Scorecard

Not a starting salary.

$72,350 median one year after finishing · $114,496 after four

$107,773 is the national median at four years for the same credential

A College Scorecard median for 2017-18 and 2018-19 completers who received federal aid, measured a fixed number of years after they finished — not what this year’s graduates are being paid, and not a figure the school or the ABA publishes. The ABA collects no salary data at all.

Letters & documents

  • Letter of recommendationRequiredstart by Dec 18, 2026
    Notes & source

'UF Law requires a minimum of one and maximum of four letters of recommendation' (JD Admissions components page; the Standards for JD Admission page says only 'up to four'). Recommenders should provide a detailed evaluation of academic or professional work. UF Law strongly recommends submission via the LSAC Evaluation Service, included in the CAS registration fee.

    Notes & source

No page limit published. Should include specific, factual information about education, honors and awards, leadership roles, publications, work experience, military service, and/or foreign language proficiency. UF Law strongly recommends clearly defined month-and-year time frames, hours per week per activity, and detailed descriptions.

  • Transcripts via LSAC CASRequiredstart by Dec 25, 2026
    Notes & source

Register with LSAC's Credential Assembly Service (CAS); UF Law must receive transcripts from all undergraduate institutions attended (including dual enrollment), even if one transcript shows grades earned elsewhere. UF Law's CAS school code is 5812. Applicants must hold or be on track to earn a bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited US institution or international equivalent before the first day of law classes. Final transcripts showing degree conferral should follow via CAS; a post-admission decline in the academic record can lead to rescission.

  • LSAT or GRERequiredstart by Nov 16, 2026
    Notes & source

A valid LSAT or GRE General Test score (or both) is required, except for Gator Scholars applicants (a binding early-enrollment option exclusively for current UF undergraduates, who instead submit the ACT/SAT score used to apply to UF, at or above the 85th percentile). LSAT scores are valid for 5 testing cycles; GRE scores for 5 years. If both are submitted, UF Law chooses which score to use; with multiple LSATs the highest score gets the most weight, and with multiple GREs the highest section percentiles do. The application becomes eligible for review as soon as one valid score is on file — email admissions@law.ufl.edu to hold it for a future score. GRE school code 3945.

Administrative

  • Application feeOptionalat submission
    Notes & source

The Standards for JD Admission page (updated for this cycle) states: 'In an effort to make the application process more accessible to all, there is no fee to apply to UF Law.' Caution: as of 2026-08-14 the JD Admissions components page still said a $30 non-refundable fee applies beginning January 1, 2026 (and the 2025 ABA 509 report lists a $30 fee for the prior cycle) — the two live pages conflict, so confirm before budgeting for a fee.

  • InterviewOptionalat submission
    Notes & source

No formal interview program is described on UF Law's admissions pages. Interviews are mentioned only in passing: decision timing may vary due to factors 'such as the Admissions Committee's discretion or request for additional information or an admissions interview' — i.e., interviews happen only at the committee's request.
