What it costs, how graduates fare
- Tuition2025-26
$57,000 full-time · plus $1,850 annual fees
Living expenses $28,022 on campus
Tuition and the fees the school certifies alongside it — not a full cost of attendance.

- Bar passageclass of 2025
84.2%first-time+4.7
79.5% is the average for all ABA-accredited schools’ graduates in the same jurisdictions this school’s graduates sat in · 112 of 133 first-time takers passed
91.8% of the class of 2023 were admitted within two years of graduating
A pass rate on its own says as much about which states a school feeds as about the school, so the ABA’s own like-for-like average is shown with it.

- Employmentclass of 2025
114 of 133 (85.7%) in full-time, long-term jobs requiring bar admission
Ten months after graduation · 5 more in JD-advantage jobs · 7 still seeking
The ABA collects employment status and job type only. It collects no salary, so no salary figure comes from this filing.

- First-year attrition2024-25
4.0% of the first-year class · 10 students
No law school publishes a graduation rate, so this is not one. It is the students who left in their first year, academic and other, as filed. Transfers out are reported separately and are not counted here.

Not a starting salary.
$60,051 median one year after finishing · $95,933 after four
$107,773 is the national median at four years for the same credential
A College Scorecard median for 2017-18 and 2018-19 completers who received federal aid, measured a fixed number of years after they finished — not what this year’s graduates are being paid, and not a figure the school or the ABA publishes. The ABA collects no salary data at all.

Essays
- Personal statementRequiredstart by Oct 25, 2026
Notes & source
OPEN TOPIC, AND THE LENGTH IS GUIDANCE RATHER THAN A CAP — no page_limit is recorded because Drexel says 'approximately', which docs/CURATION.md warns not to convert into a limit. Full wording: 'Applicants must submit a personal statement with their application that is approximately two double-spaced pages in length. What you choose to write about is entirely up to you. The personal statement is a chance for you to tell the Admissions Committee who you are, using your unique experiences, ideas, and qualifications as illustration. You may wish to use this opportunity to write about your career aspirations, academic interests, life experiences, family background, or talents.' The four suggested subjects are suggestions, not prompts, so no prompt is recorded. Nothing is published about font, margins, or generative AI. WHAT THE STATEMENT IS WEIGHED AGAINST, from the FAQ: 'We take a holistic approach to the admissions process. We read and review everything that is in an applicant's file and no one component is more important than the other... we also take the information shared in the applicant's resume, letters of recommendation and personal statement into consideration.' NO OTHER ESSAY IS ASKED FOR: Drexel publishes no perspective or diversity statement, no why-school essay, and no optional essay prompt for JD applicants, so this statement carries everything. The only other personal statements named on the page belong to transfer and visiting applicants, who write 'A personal statement indicating your reasons for wanting to transfer to the School of Law' — a why-school essay in all but name, but one first-year applicants are never asked for.

- AddendumOptionalstart by Nov 12, 2026
Notes & source
OPTIONAL, WITH UNUSUALLY CONCRETE GUIDANCE — and the guidance lives only in the FAQ, not on the how-to-apply page, so an applicant working from the checklist alone would never learn the addendum exists. 'Under what circumstances should an applicant write an addendum? Students should write an addendum if they feel that there is information they need to share with the Admissions Committee that isn't included in any other part of the application – such as a drop in GPA or an explanation for a low LSAT. The addendum should be no more than 1 or 2 paragraphs and should only state the facts.' Three instructions are packed into that last sentence: keep it to a paragraph or two, state facts, and do not argue. No word or page limit is recorded because paragraphs are not a countable limit in this schema. NO CHARACTER-AND-FITNESS INSTRUCTION IS PUBLISHED anywhere on Drexel's admissions pages — no attachment is requested and no disclosure language appears, which is recorded as a silence rather than as an absence of any such question on the LSAC form itself.

Letters & documents
- Letter of recommendation (1 of 2)Requiredstart by Oct 18, 2026
Notes & source
'Submit at least two letters of recommendation through the LSAC Letter of Recommendation Service. Applicants may submit up to four letters. Recommendations should come from professors or employers of the applicant who can speak to your academic ability, professional experience, and potential for success in law school. All letters of recommendation must be submitted directly to LSAC by the recommender.' Two points beyond the counts: the recommender must send the letter, not the applicant, and Drexel names academic and professional writers as equally acceptable rather than preferring faculty. Letters travel inside the CAS report — the page lists 'Letters of recommendation submitted through LSAC' among the report's four contents.

- RésuméRequiredstart by Nov 8, 2026
Notes & source
'Resume: Attach a current resume highlighting your relevant experience, including employment, volunteer work, and leadership experience.' Attached to the application rather than routed through CAS. No page limit or format guidance is published, so none is recorded. The FAQ confirms the resume is read substantively rather than skimmed: the committee looks for 'leaders in their respective undergraduate institutions and volunteers in their communities or individuals who bring a variety of work experience and advanced degrees.'

- Transcripts via LSAC CASRequiredstart by Oct 25, 2026
Notes & source
'All applicants must register with the Credential Assembly Service (CAS) through LSAC. CAS compiles your academic transcripts, letters of recommendation, and other required application materials into a single report that is sent electronically to the Drexel Kline School of Law.' The report's contents are itemised: 'Undergraduate academic summary / All academic transcripts from all schools, colleges, and universities attended after high school / LSAT score(s) (if applicable); and / Letters of recommendation submitted through LSAC.' Note 'all schools, colleges, and universities attended after high school' — every institution, not only the degree-granting one. NO DEGREE REQUIREMENT, NO MINIMUM GPA, AND NO ENGLISH-PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENT is published for the three JD pathways — recorded as silence. Drexel does publish both for its other programs, which is what makes the JD silence conspicuous: Global Access JD applicants 'must have completed a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree' and must 'Submit official TOEFL or IELTS scores... using Drexel Kline School of Law's institutional code 2194', and the online LLM programs state that 'Successful applicants will typically have earned a 100 on the TOEFL or a 7.5 on the IELTS.' None of that is stated for JD applicants.

- LSAT or GRERequiredstart by Sep 16, 2026
Notes & source
BOTH ACCEPTED, BUT THE LSAT IS A ONE-WAY DOOR — this is the sharpest version of that rule in this data set, and it changes how an applicant should sequence their testing. 'A standardized test score is required from all applicants. To be considered for admission, applicants must submit either a Law School Admission Test (LSAT) or a Graduate Record Examination (GRE) score. LSAT score(s) are sent via LSAC. Official GRE score reports must be sent directly from ETS using Drexel Kline School of Law's institution code 4120. Applicants who have taken the LSAT are not eligible to apply with a GRE score. If you take the LSAT after applying with a GRE score, your application and, if awarded, any scholarship will be reevaluated using your LSAT score. Your GRE score will no longer be considered.' The FAQ says the same thing twice over: 'Yes. We only require one score, but you may report as many scores as you'd like... Note, if you have taken or take the LSAT during the application process in addition to the GRE, you will be deemed an LSAT candidate, and your GRE score will not be considered.' A SCHOLARSHIP ALREADY AWARDED CAN BE REOPENED by a later LSAT — that is the part worth underlining. MULTIPLE LSAT SCORES ARE TREATED KINDLY: 'While we see the scores from all the exams, as well as the average, we take the higher score when considering a student for admission.' No score-validity window and no last-acceptable administration is published. Drexel's 2025 ABA Standard 509 report shows the practical mix: 179 LSAT admissions enrollees against just 2 GRE enrollees out of 181 first-years — below the ABA's 10-test-taker floor, so no GRE percentiles are published. No JD Next row appears and the site never mentions JD Next.

Administrative
- Application feeOptionalat submission
Notes & source
NOTHING TO PAY. The JD section of the how-to-apply page prints it as its own line item: 'Application Fee / $0'. Drexel's 2025 ABA Standard 509 report independently lists the application fee as $0. Recorded as required: false because there is nothing to pay and no waiver process to apply for — the school removed the fee rather than waiving it on request. LSAC's own CAS and Letter of Recommendation Service fees are separate and are not addressed by Drexel's pages.

- InterviewOptionalat submission
Notes & source
NOT PART OF THE JD PROCESS, and the way the site is written makes that a deliberate omission rather than an oversight. Two of Drexel's other programs publish an identical invitation — the Global Access JD and the LLM in American Legal Practice each list, as a numbered application requirement, 'Interview: Following a thorough review of your application, Drexel Kline School of Law may invite you to participate in an interview.' The JD section of the same page, laid out in the same format with the same headings, has no interview line at all. So for the three JD pathways this is recorded as required: false — no evaluative interview is described, invited, or requestable. The school does offer non-evaluative contact separately: class visits, campus tours, virtual information sessions, and admissions ambassadors.
