- Bar passageclass of 2025
70.5%first-time−3.5
74.0% is the average for all ABA-accredited schools’ graduates in the same jurisdictions this school’s graduates sat in · 146 of 207 first-time takers passed
83.4% of the class of 2023 were admitted within two years of graduating
A pass rate on its own says as much about which states a school feeds as about the school, so the ABA’s own like-for-like average is shown with it.

- Employmentclass of 2025
150 of 204 (73.5%) in full-time, long-term jobs requiring bar admission
Ten months after graduation · 18 more in JD-advantage jobs · 17 still seeking
The ABA collects employment status and job type only. It collects no salary, so no salary figure comes from this filing.

2.0% of the first-year class · 7 students
No law school publishes a graduation rate, so this is not one. It is the students who left in their first year, academic and other, as filed. Transfers out are reported separately and are not counted here.

Not a starting salary.
$62,419 median one year after finishing · $95,849 after four
$107,773 is the national median at four years for the same credential
A College Scorecard median for 2017-18 and 2018-19 completers who received federal aid, measured a fixed number of years after they finished — not what this year’s graduates are being paid, and not a figure the school or the ABA publishes. The ABA collects no salary data at all.

Notes & source
The four prompts are quoted verbatim from the page's bulleted list; the parenthesized numbers are added here only to keep them separable — the page presents them as unnumbered bullets. Uploaded with the application; 'Required for Decision' on the application checklist. Framing and limit, verbatim: 'The personal statement is the applicant's way of telling the committee something about himself/herself that may not be found in the other application materials. The personal statement should be in standard formatting and no more than two pages.' No font, spacing, or margin specification is published beyond 'standard formatting,' and no word count. Worth flagging for overlap purposes: the second prompt is a why-UBalt prompt, but it is an option INSIDE the personal statement rather than a separate essay, so no why_x_essay requirement is recorded — a reused generic personal statement may not satisfy the 'at least two prompts' instruction. The pages say nothing about generative AI.

- Perspective statementOptionalstart by Dec 18, 2026
You may submit a statement describing life experiences that illustrate how you can make a meaningful contribution to the class. For example, you might explain how certain life experiences demonstrate your courage, determination, motivation, or ability to lead.
Notes & source
UBalt Law calls this the 'Identity Statement (Optional)' — the whole of the school's published guidance is quoted above. No length limit, formatting rule, or submission instruction is published for it, and it does not appear on the application checklist at all (the checklist lists only transcripts, LSAT, two letters, personal statement, resume, character-and-fitness addenda, and the Maryland residency form).

- AddendumOptionalstart by Dec 29, 2026
If you feel that your application, as a whole, is missing relevant information that is important for the admissions committee to consider, you may upload an addendum. Use the addenda to explain any of the following: Gap(s) in education or work experience (more than 1 year); Substantial difference in LSAT scores (more than 5 points); Struggling during school outside of normal life expectations; Life experience(s) not addressed within the personal statement that you feel is important for the committee to know
Notes & source
Two distinct addenda, which is why this entry is marked not required overall. (1) Optional 'Addenda' — the prompt above, verbatim, with the four bullets run together by semicolons. No length limit published. Note the school's unusually concrete thresholds: education/work gaps over one year, LSAT score spreads over five points. The LSAT/GRE section repeats the score-disparity invitation: 'Applicants with disparate scores should include an addendum with their application to explain the difference between the scores.' There is no separate GPA-addendum invitation. (2) Character and fitness — REQUIRED when triggered: 'All applicants with an affirmative answer to any of the character and fitness questions are required to submit an addendum with the application. Details are provided in the application.' The application checklist lists 'Character and Fitness Addenda' as 'Required for Decision if you answered "yes" to any of the Character and Fitness questions.' The school adds that bar admission in every U.S. jurisdiction carries its own character, fitness, and other qualifications, and points applicants to the National Conference of Bar Examiners website for the relevant agencies.

Notes & source
Verbatim: 'Two (2) letters of recommendation (LORs) are required, up to three (3) may be submitted. These letters should be submitted directly to LSAC using their Letters of Recommendation Service.' The pages do not say who recommenders should be — no academic-versus-professional preference is published. The application checklist lists 'Two Recommendation Letters — Send to CAS — Required for Decision.' (Transfer applicants need only one letter.)

- Transcripts via LSAC CASRequiredstart by Dec 11, 2026
Notes & source
'Applicants for all programs are required to apply through LSAC,' and 'First-year and transfer applicants are required to use the LSAC's credential evaluation, the Credential Assembly Service (CAS).' Undergraduate: 'Applicants must submit transcripts from all undergraduate institutions attended to the credential assembly service. The school of law will review each transcript as part of the decision-making process. Individual courses, course grades, GPA trends, academic major, and other aspects of the transcripts are considered as part of the review.' Graduate: 'Applicants must submit transcripts from any graduate institution attended to the credential assembly service. Graduate coursework will be reviewed as part of the admissions process.' International: 'If you have attended a university or college outside of the United States or Canada you should follow the process for a first-year applicant. Foreign credentials (transcripts) will be evaluated as part of your CAS report' (ubalt.edu/law/admission-and-aid/how-to-apply/jd-program/application-checklist.cfm). The admissions pages state no TOEFL or IELTS requirement, publish no minimum GPA, and do not state a bachelor's-degree prerequisite in so many words — recorded here as the pages' silence, not as a waiver of any of those. Separately, applicants complete a Maryland Residency Form inside the application: 'Not required for decision but necessary to determine Maryland state residency status.' 'All applicants are considered out-of-state residents initially.'

- LSAT or GRERequiredstart by Nov 2, 2026
Notes & source
Either test is accepted, but the LSAT takes precedence and the GRE is fenced: 'The GRE can be used as a substitute in lieu of the LSAT. However, the LSAT will be utilized for admission if you have taken both tests. Applicants may not submit GRE scores if they also have an LSAT score no older than five years on their record. GRE scores should be sent directly to us via ETS to school code 4700. Once those have been received, we will request your CAS report from LSAC with the LSAT waived, which typically takes a couple of days.' Cycle cutoffs for fall 2027 entry: 'The final LSAT score that can be submitted for the Fall 2027 cycle is the June LSAT,' and 'The final GRE score that can be submitted for the Fall 2027 cycle must have a score release date prior to the application close date, July 15, 2027.' Multiple scores: 'The school of law places more emphasis on the highest LSAT or GRE score obtained by the applicant when multiple scores are available. However, all scores are reviewed when making a decision.' Disparate scores should be explained in an addendum. JD-Next is explicitly NOT accepted this cycle even though the school holds the variance: 'The University of Baltimore School of Law has received the necessary variance from the American Bar Association to accept JD-Next as an approved admissions assessment. However, UBalt Law will not accept JD-Next scores for the 2027 application cycle... A valid LSAT or GRE score must submitted to be considered for admission' (ubalt.edu/law/admission-and-aid/how-to-apply/index.cfm; the school's Admissions and Aid landing page at ubalt.edu/law/admission-and-aid/index.cfm still carries the prior year's version of the same notice, saying '2026 application cycle'). No minimum score is published.

$60, matching the fee reported in the school's 2025 ABA Standard 509 report. Verbatim: 'The UBalt Law application fee of $60 will be required at the time of submission, unless a fee waiver has been granted.' The pages confirm waivers exist but publish no eligibility criteria, request procedure, or contact for one — recorded as the pages' silence.
